Our fellow citizens promised to pay for a long life in marriage. It sounds, frankly, not very good at prison, if the family does not exist for the joy and support in life, and is a heavy burden. That the state should first think about social justice (of bread), and then about the gifts (about the cakes). And if you want to give gifts, maybe to hand them out to all those who have reached 75, 80, etc. years?
But this is unlikely to happen. First, ordinary old people have much more than Golden anniversaries, and, hence, the amount of the gifts will need much more substantial. And secondly- and, in my opinion, in the main, such gifts will not look as impressive as a present for their Golden wedding. Judge for yourself: is it will remove a beautiful story for TV about a poor lonely old woman, received on the 90th anniversary of the money from the state? Nothing will be removed, and will never show how generous and caring government, and will be glad that money is only the old woman.
