Donald Trump rages on Truth Social on his 76th birthday. The ex-US President currently has little reason to celebrate. And not just because he supposedly hates his birthdays. The investigation into the Capitol storm on January 6, 2020 split the Trump clan. Especially with favorite daughter Ivanka there is a crisis.
Donald Trump turned 76 on Tuesday – as a well-known birthday muffle, he didn’t want to celebrate his new year in a lavish way. Instead, he started the day with a tantrum on Truth Social. After a 12-page statement to journalists, the former president further vented his anger at the ongoing investigation into the storming of the Capitol: “Does anyone realize the committee’s total refusal to investigate the many types of fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election? This is cancel culture because they know they have zero chance of winning the debate. So sad to see our country fall apart!”
Trump then spent a few hours on his club’s golf course in New Jersey. At the end of May, he and Melania and their son Barron left the family winter home in Mar-a-Lago. Now the Trumps want to spend the hot summer months at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. Only in the fall is it supposed to go back to Palm Beach in the Sunshine State.

“Donald hates his birthdays,” his first ex-wife Ivanka told People Magazine. Trump also attaches no importance to gifts. Another family confidant also confirmed: Big birthday parties just aren’t Trump’s style – instead, the former president prefers small, private dinners with close family members. “Despite all the controversy, the Trumps are quite close as a family,” the insider said, — albeit with a new and surprising exception: “Ivanka has distanced herself from her father for months.”
In fact, Ivanka’s testimony before the January 6, 2020 Capitol Storm Committee of Inquiry is clearly against her father: “I respect Attorney General Barr,” Trump’s once-proclaimed favorite daughter said in a video recording. To the then justice minister’s assertion that there had been no electoral fraud in 2020, she said: “So I accepted what he said.”
Her father’s rebuke was not long in coming. At that time after the election, Ivanka was no longer mentally present, Trump claimed on his media platform: “By then she had ‘checked out’ a long time ago and, in my opinion, just wanted to be respectful of Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General ( he was lousy!),” he commented on Truth Social about his daughter’s statements, which contradict his own false claims that he wasn’t Joe Biden and that he won the last election.
So far, Ivanka has not responded to the rebuke. In the face of the investigation into the violent storming of the Capitol, she and her husband are simply trying to distance themselves from the former president, Kushners insiders say.
Her brother seems all the more eager to win his father’s favor. At the beginning of the week, in a fundraiser for his political donations committee, Don Junior appealed to all Trump supporters to sign the “official birthday card” to his father – provided they donate a sum.
“My dad did so much for this great country and I know it would mean so much to him to have YOUR name on his OFFICIAL birthday card,” Trump Junior wrote in an email to his dad’s fans the followers also write their congratulations in personal words to their idol.
Donald Trump: The True Story of His Presidency
Insiders are hardly surprised that Don Junior continues to seek closeness to his father: after all, Trump’s eldest son is still benefiting greatly from his relationship with the former president, they say. However, the latest revelations about the financial profits of his fiancee may not suit him as well.
Because the connection to Donald Trump also pays off for Kimberly Guilfoyle: she was paid horrific amounts for a two-minute speech in front of cheering Trump fans. At the “Stop the Steal” Trump rally on January 6, 2020, prior to the storming of the Capitol, Guilfoyle took the stage briefly to announce her fiancé. According to those present, her performance lasted less than three minutes. She earned $60,000 for it. The amount was revealed this week – US media reacted with outrage.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the storming of the Capitol continues and is being broadcast live on American television. The press is currently speculating as to how the work of the investigative committee could further divide the once close-knit Trump family.
