– Before the main holiday of our country – the anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the great Patriotic war – remains a matter of days. On the Monument of Glory is hard work, made the finishing touches. Today, the fire took its place, – said the mayor of Novosibirsk Anatoly Lokot, who took part in the ceremony of lighting the fire.

Responsible work of restoration was entrusted to workers of the plant “Siblitmash”, where at the time, and was cast bowl. It was sealed and polished. Also had to replace the gas burner on wind-resistant diffusion. It was produced in Ekaterinburg. New burner runs on natural gas.
Mayor Anatoly Lokot has reminded that in connection with large-scale reconstruction of the monument of Glory, the flame was extinguished for a few months. Re festive lighting held on 7 November 2019. The fire was brought from Moscow from the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. During the restoration of a cast-iron bowl and a gas burner flame, brought from Moscow, removed for storage in a special capsule, which was on Post No. 1. Thus, today the fire on the Monument of Glory is officially lit for the third time.
In preparation for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war at the Monument of Glory the repair of pedestals. Until the end of April it is planned to complete works on the Avenue of arms, the monument “Unity of Front and Rear”, “Siberian divisions”, “Participants of local wars” and the memorial complex “Feat Siberians in the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945” and the Alley of Heroes of Soviet Union and full gentlemen of Order of Glory.
Since April 10, work is underway to rectify mistakes in the names and the initials of the veterans listed on the pylons of the monument of Glory. Requests for corrections made since January of this year. Work carried out by municipal companies Gorzelenkhoz. 31 just discovered a typo (error).
