“the Kuril Islands are regularly exposed to various natural disasters, so the monitoring center can be used to predict an emergency, to avoid the destruction of buildings and the main thing – to save human lives”, – told correspondent “RG” the mayor of Yuzhno-Kurilsk Vyacheslav Vlasenko.

In the opening ceremony of the new part was attended by the head EMERCOM of Russia Evgeny Senichev. He handed over a new search and rescue unit certificate for nine pieces of equipment.
