the Norwegian public roads administration reported that the E6 over Kvænangsfjellet can be completely closed from Monday afternoon and throughout Tuesday. This means that Finnmark is shut off from the rest of the country.
Previously it has been possible with the detour via Finland, but it is not possible now because of the koronatiltak.
” We have had very demanding driving conditions and many stengninger both the last few days and this whole winter. The special right now is that værprognosene suggest that the E6 over Kvænangsfjellet can be long-lasting closed, ” says operations manager Siril Veiåker Nilsen in by Vegtrafikksentralen North in the Norwegian public roads administration in a press release.
