Disregard of direct instructions: The Kickers had expressly agreed with Karbstein that he should appear at the start of his club’s training. Instead, the defender went to Hansa coaching, which the Baltic Sea club made public on Twitter.
Clear opinion of the Offenbach bosses: According to Kickers managing director Matthias Georg, Karbstein’s behavior does not testify to professionalism. The young player “did himself no favors with this unacceptable action”. Accordingly, “this is not a basis for further cooperation”.
