Russia has not taken any action in violation of its obligations under the comprehensive nuclear test ban. This was stated by TASS on Thursday Russian Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, commenting on the common on Wednesday, the U.S. state Department report in 2019 on the countries ‘ compliance with agreements in the field of arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament.
"with regard to accusations coming from Washington to our address for more than six months, that we are allegedly not in full compliance with its own moratorium on nuclear testing act, we repeat that there are no activities that would include the elements of a deviation from our obligations stemming from our unilateral moratorium on nuclear testing and from our ratification of the CTBT, we do," he said.
Moscow also urged Washington to abandon the spread of misinformation regarding nuclear testing.
"We urge the US to abandon their increasing practice of disinformation of the international community about what is happening," Ryabkov said.
