Summer has officially begun, and with the beautiful season, new terraces continue to appear all over the province. Here are two noteworthy openings.

In Lanaudière, the beloved Alchimiste Microbrasserie is celebrating its 22nd anniversary by reopening its brewery to the public – a first since 2014 – with a brand new terrace, which adds 148 seats to the 45 of the beer bar inside. In all, 15 cask lines are there to quench the thirst of customers, which is complemented by a menu focused on products from the region. Take the opportunity to admire the mural by Montreal artist Marc-Olivier Lamothe, tracing the history of the company.

Bored of the roof terrace of the old Tokyo nightclub on Saint-Laurent? Here she is back in service with the new project named Ciel Rose. Kicking off this 2,000 square foot outdoor space is June 23; more than 200 people can party in a decor inspired by the Riviera Maya, Mexico. We promise colorful cocktails, tartars, sashimi and tacos and DJs to keep you dancing all summer long.

Head to Old Montreal, where the Hotel Nelligan has just unveiled the transformation of its terrace, entrusted to Atelier Zébulon Perron, which has been busy lately. Installed at the top of the hotel and offering a beautiful view of the surroundings, the Terrasse Nelligan wants to offer a more sophisticated look and a redesigned menu to attract crowds. Think shareable dishes, seafood towers and elegant cocktails. On weekends, brunches will also be included.
