Statens Serum Institut is on the stairs with a blodprøvetest, which can remove the uncertainty about the possible coronasmitte.
the Statens Serum Institut (SSI) is close to being able to disseminate an antibody test, a blood test can determine whether people have been infected with the Covid-19.
It writes Politiken Friday.
If this so-called serological test shows that the person has formed antibodies, they can re-enter the labour market.
– When persons have a high level of antibodies, then they have a very hard time to be infected again in a period of up to two years, says Karen Angeliki Krogfelt, professor of medical microbiology at Roskilde University, to the newspaper.
– They can then be sent back to work without major risk of being infected or spreading the infection to others, as they now are more resistant, she explains.
According to Politiken, the new test method can make a big difference for in the first place the country’s hospitals during the epidemic.
It is because many people, including employees in the health and care sector, walking around in the dark with regard to coughing or snoring was the expression of whether they had the corona virus or not.
Professor Karen Angeliki Krogfelt collaborate with the SSI to verify and then spread antistoftests.
She informs that laboratoriearbejdet with a chinese test kits were launched in the last week. The results are so positive, she says, that the first antistoftests, in principle, could be widely used at home from the coming week.
From the SSI says senior physician Anders Fomsgaard, to be tested in a race against the clock. A crucial work is in progress to verify that these antistoftests does not create false positive results and thus a false sense of security and a new risk of contamination.
– We are not there right now, but we are close. I dare not put a date on when the first antistoftests can get out, but my clear expectation is that it will happen before the epidemic peak, says Anders Fomsgaard.
