Phillips instead of Gavi? After the failed hunt for young star Gavi, Liverpool FC is now negotiating with Kalvin Phillips, reports the Spanish portal “Sport”. The midfielder currently plays for Leeds United and still has a contract until 2024. But the “Whites” would sell him for a transfer fee of 70 million euros, according to the “Daily Mail”.

Interest from Manchester: In addition to the Reds, both Manchester City and Manchester United are said to be interested in signing the 26-year-old international. However, the Daily Mail reports that Phillips would turn down a move to United.
Failed Gavi hunt: Actually, Liverpool courted the 17-year-old youth player Gavi from FC Barcelona. However, Liverpool’s efforts ended when it was announced that Gavi was set to sign a new contract with Barcelona which is said to include the whopping €1bn release clause.
