The accident happened near the Farchanter tunnel. This is blocked in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The route between Garmisch and Oberau is currently closed, as announced by Deutsche Bahn. Trains from Munich turn early in Oberau. From the direction of Mittenwald/Reutte in Tirol, the trains turn around early in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
