National Aeronautics and space administration (NASA) contracted with Orbital Science Corporation a contract worth 187 million dollars to build a manned lunar module of the station Gateway. We are talking about the design of residential and logistic unit of the plant, which will present before the end of this year.
it is Expected that this unit will become the place of residence of the crew upon arrival on the lunar station, RIA Novosti reported. It will be the size of a small apartment and will provide, together with the Orion spacecraft habitable environment for people. Other details will be known once NASA approves the project.
Earlier it was reported that the administration of us President Donald trump’s plans to resume manned flights to the moon in 2024. In addition, the U.S. plan to build on the lunar orbit station and Gateway are invited to participate in the project partners on the ISS.
