As reported by correspondent “RG” the official representative of Moscow city court Ulyana Solopova, pursuant to part 13 of article 109 of the code of criminal procedure, the court to consider the petition for prolongation of term of detention in his absence is not allowed, with the exception of the circumstances excluding possibility of a habeas corpus. According to Solopova, in this case this is due to the epidemiological situation in Moscow. However, the official representative of the Moscow city court stressed that even in these circumstances, the participation of defence counsel of the accused at the hearing is mandatory.
