The Quebec airline is opening new horizons by announcing direct flights, from June 2024, between Montreal and the city nicknamed “the ocher city”, in Morocco.

This new route marks several milestones: not only will Air Transat inaugurate a service to the African continent for the very first time, but it will also be the only carrier in North America to offer non-stop flights to this tourist city .

The calendar is intended to be annual, with two weekly departures from June to October (Wednesdays and Saturdays), then one flight per week, on Saturdays, between November and April.

The airline is thus banking on the tourist attractions of Marrakech and its surroundings (Agadir, Essaouira, Taghazout, etc.), but also on the significant representation of this North African community in Montreal.

Finally, Transat specifies that the connection will be provided with new Airbus A321LRs, state-of-the-art aircraft.
