a member of the Public chamber of Russia Sultan Khamzayev proposed to introduce a lump-sum payment in the amount of 15 thousand rubles for pensioners. A letter with this initiative Khamzayev has sent Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to Khamzayev, elderly citizens during a pandemic coronavirus were in the “special risk group”, they have increased drug costs because of the need of prevention of viral diseases, on the average on four thousand roubles. The main and the only source of their income remains the pension.
“many pensioners have no additional income sources, except for state aid in the form of mandatory monthly payments from the state (pensions),” – quoted by RIA “Novosti” the letter comes at.
According to him, given the previous experience of the targeted state support of the population, it is necessary “to develop an additional mechanism” to help those in need, pensioners, similar to that which is now provided to families with children. The amount of the lump sum should be 15 thousand rubles, said the member of the OP.
