Microsoft has released a new monthly “update Tuesday” (Patch Tuesday) for Windows. It corrects security problems.
Just an update “closes” 120 vulnerabilities in the security system, including two vulnerabilities “zero day”. It is reported that problems affect the operating system itself, and the Edge browser, and Office products.
It is worth noting that 17 of the 120 vulnerabilities have a maximum rating of danger, that is, are critical. One of the vulnerabilities allowed attackers to remotely run malicious code. Under threat were all versions of the operating system with Internet Explorer 11.
Journalists write that the August update is the third — largest security update. It is second only apdejtam, which was released in June 2020, and in July 2020. They corrected 126 and 123 vulnerability, respectively.
