Microsoft has released an update for Excel that allows you to insert images into table cells. This is reported by the publication MSPoweruser.
The authors of the media paid attention to the update of the popular spreadsheet editor. The new feature will allow you to add images directly to the cells, and not on top of the table.
“You can move and resize cells, sort and filter, and work with images in an Excel spreadsheet,” Microsoft representatives explained.
The corporation’s specialists said that it is allowed to insert pictures not only from a computer, but also from a link from the Internet. However, to fully display the content, the computer must be connected to the Internet, and the link to the image must be working. “We have received a lot of feedback about the desire to be able to insert images into cells, and we are happy to provide this feature!” — said Microsoft engineers.
Currently, the new option is available to users of the beta version of the Microsoft 365 subscription on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. According to journalists, if the company receives positive feedback on the new feature, it will soon be rolled out to all users of the company’s products.
At the end of the summer, it became known that Microsoft will change the requirements for installing Windows OS of the last generation. Apparently, the installation of the operating system may not be possible without the presence of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) cryptographic module.
