“look, some amendments were proposed. They were, these amendments were intended to strengthen the labour rights of citizens, to fix the principles of indexing, to establish targeted support for people, families with children. And here, it would seem, these common things that are transferred to the constitutional level, they have become extremely important in the current period, when due to the pandemic in the fashion industry, people are faced with unemployment, and problems associated with the lack of additional income or main job,” he told reporters.
According to him, it all “makes it highly relevant that such provisions were removed at the constitutional level.”
“This means that these principles become constitutional issues, these norms become constitutional in nature, and in this case, whoever was in power, whatever government may be, it can’t just say, “you Know what, we are indexing will not hold”. Since this is a constitutional norm. Without amending the Constitution to do so will not” — said Medvedev.
