Mattias Kolstrup is current with his new solo project Liberty. Before it was put in the lake, had the previous three on the songs, however, through a minor existential crisis.
three years ago, when three on were still to be found on the Danish music scene, and was current with their fourth album ‘Delta’, saw Mattias Kolstrup suddenly, to his well-known voice disappeared.
In an interview with DR. dk tells the today 31-year-old singer, to the voice, he had lived by since he was a teenager, “fuckede up,” and particularly his falsetto was completely gone, so it was not possible to overcome Dúnés back catalogue of songs as usual.
“It is so inexplicably frustrating to try on something, you have been able to do throughout his life, and then suddenly can’t do it anymore. It made me really angry,” he says.
Mattias Kolstrup adds::
“my Whole livelihood is built around my voice, and all of a sudden it does not work. It will not do what I want. It was crazy to experience,”.
three on had in 2018 a sommerturné in front of him, and therefore took Mattias Kolstrup up the fight and went into intensive sangtræning with a singing teacher, so it eventually managed to complete the concerts and put the sentence for three on the with afskedskoncerter at Smukfest and in Store Vega in copenhagen in august.
today is Mattias Kolstrup, as mentioned, current with his new solo project, which he has chosen to call Liberty.
The new songs are adapted to his ‘new darker voice’ and the project was recently launched with the two songs ‘Closure’ and ‘Viva La Illusion’, which are precursors for a forthcoming album.
the Liberty project would also be launched with a concert at the venue the Cecil Hotel in Copenhagen. It has so far deferred to the 28. may because of the current corona-situation.
