It’s been 15 years since three-year-old Madeleine McCann disappeared from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal. Now there are new clues in the missing person case. The German suspect, Christian B., is said to have undergone facial surgery a few months after her disappearance.

On May 3, 2007, then three-year-old Madeleine “Maddie” Beth McCann disappeared without a trace from a holiday resort in Portugal. Since then, the police and Maddie’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have been trying to solve the crime. In June 2020, things got moving when investigators suspected the German Christian B., who is currently serving a prison sentence in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, as a suspected kidnapper and murderer. As “thesun.co.uk” now reports, a TV team has discovered an indication of B.’s possible intention to cover it up.

Christian B. actually lived in Portugal in 2007. But four months after Maddie’s mysterious disappearance, he made his way to Germany to undergo dental surgery, according to thesun.co.uk. Christian B. had four teeth straightened. And that was just before the picture of a possible suspect with his teeth sticking out was published.

Not only the mug shot could have led to the trail of the perpetrator. As thesun.co.uk further reports, on April 9, 2007, a ten-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Salema beach by a man with four buck teeth. Salema is only twelve miles from the vacation home where little Maddie was kidnapped.

It is not yet known whether the new findings about B.’s facial surgery will also be included in the public prosecutor’s hearing of evidence. As “stern.de” reports, however, there has recently been renewed movement in the case. “The investigation is ongoing and we have found some new facts, some new evidence,” the prosecutor responsible for the case, Hans Christian Wolters, reportedly announced on May 3 in an interview with the Portuguese television channel CM-TV. Hans Christian Wolters is certain that B. is Maddie’s murderer. However, according to “rnd.de” at the end of April, he nevertheless stated: “The investigations will take some time.”

The ESC is apparently particularly popular with younger people. In the target group of 14 to 49 year olds, more than half of all viewers tuned in to the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday evening.

Ukraine took first place in the 66th Eurovision Song Contest. While the band Kalush Orchestra celebrated their victory, Germany landed in last place with the performance of Malik Harris. Despite this disappointment, the singer is happy for the Ukrainian band.

The Queen’s Jubilee is celebrated in style. Airmen thunder over Buckingham Palace and the royal family waves from the balcony. However, not everyone is allowed to attend.
