The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine claims that Russia allegedly does not want to establish an objective picture of the tragedy on 2 may 2014 in Odessa.
According to Kiev, Russia – “the only way”, which “clearly not interested”, reports RIA “Novosti”.
Ukraine has complained that Russia has not only “been hiding one of the main defendants of the investigation, the former Deputy chief GU MVD of Odessa region Dmitry Fuchedzhi”, but “gave him citizenship.” In this regard, Kiev had refused to extradite Fuchedzhi.
Ukraine also stressed that during the negotiations about the exchange of detainees, the Russian side demanded to give at least nine people who allegedly “took direct or indirect part in the organization of mass riots in Odessa under the Russian flag”.
We will remind, on may 2, 2014 in Odessa during the confrontation with the radicals of “Right sector” (an organization banned in Russia – approx. OPINION) supporters of the federalization took refuge in the House of trade unions. The building was set on fire, and those who tried to flee, fired and finished off with sticks and stones. According to official figures, killed 48 people.
