The Ukrainian foreign Ministry called an attempted “intervention” in the internal Affairs assessment of the foreign Ministry of Russia informed President of the Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky.
“Review of the Department of information and press of the Russian foreign Ministry… is another attempt of Russia to interfere in the internal Affairs of Ukraine… to split the Ukrainian society”, — reads the statement of the Ukrainian Ministry.
In Kiev called “misinformation” Moscow’s statement on the conduct of Ukraine’s Russophobic policy and escalation of tensions in bilateral relations.
There also urged Russia to move on to the “constructive engagement” on the issue of the Crimea and the Donbass.
Earlier the Russian foreign Ministry noted that since coming to power Zelensky line of Kiev in confrontation with Moscow has not changed, and “Russophobia in Ukraine gets a new breath”.
Zelensky during a press conference said that the talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin raised the issue of the Crimea, but noted that Russia does not want to discuss it.
Crimea became a Russian region after held there in March 2014 referendum in which the majority of residents voted for reunification with Russia.
