North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN sent a congratulatory telegram to Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory. The Chairman of the state Council of Korea said that in the years of the great Patriotic war, the Russian people have shown “unprecedented heroism and selflessness”.

Thus, Pyongyang will perpetuate the memory of Soviet soldiers killed in 1945 during the liberation of Korea. The new monument will crown the entrance to the main Soviet cemetery near Sadon. It is expected that the work will be completed by August 15.
