Kiev has come up with a way to engage in negotiations of the Trilateral contact group (TGC) in the Donbass representatives of the breakaway republics. This was stated by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, reported on the Agency’s website.
Why Zelensky and Putin will never agree on Donbass
According to him, the Ukrainian side intends to invite to the next meeting of the group of immigrants from Lugansk and Donetsk regions, including the so-called internally displaced people — refugees, who moved to Kiev-controlled territory.
“[They] will end the monopoly on the representation of these territories by the unrecognized quasi-state formations”, — said Yermak.
Earlier self-proclaimed Donetsk national Republic (DND) gave Kiev an ultimatum and demanded that the Ukrainian authorities either to launch direct dialogue, either formally confirm the exit from the Minsk agreements which it involves. Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly refused to include the leaders of the republics in the negotiation process.
