Ex-NBA star Charles Barkley repeatedly railed against today’s top player Kevin Durant. Now the All-Star of the Brooklyn Nets shoots back. With poisonous words.

Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors have a brief history together. The 33-year-old NBA superstar was once part of the team and helped the Warriors to two titles during his three-year tenure before joining the Brooklyn Nets.

After the Warriors won the NBA Finals, Durant’s legacy became a topic of discussion. And one who spoke out on the matter was NBA Hall of Famer and TV analyst Charles Barkley.

Durant is a two-time Finals MVP, but Barkley reckons Durant hasn’t starred in his two championship years at Golden State.

Barkley mentioned that the Brooklyn superstar has to win a championship as the head of a team before he gets the respect he deserves.

Durant overheard Barkley’s comments and was annoyed. Taking to Twitter, Durant fired back, calling Barkley a “hateful envier.”

Durant: This whole shit is disgusting, that’s another horrible statement from a hateful jealous guy who can’t accept that we’re making more money than they used to be. It’s all about timing Chucky, you shouldn’t hate us players.”
