Lily replied, “I couldn’t even sign on to Instagram and check I wasn’t so confused,” “I am so relieved. That was the first thing I did. My coworker approached me and asked if I was taking a break. After Lily explained that she was still crying, Lily replied, “Me too, tears of happiness.”
In a second message, she admitted that she would not be embarrassed if her mom had posted the photo but that she was concerned.
Beckinsale stated, “As though I’d take-and-post that you maniac,” before Lily responded, “No, I know that why that was so jarring.”
Beckinsale left one final message in which she attempted to question the logic behind her photo. She explained, “Well quite also, what am I doing underneath the bed and when did that rug get here?”
@lily_sheen was scared. Beckinsale captioned this post: “God bless @madonna.”
Fans and celebrities shared their laughter at the joke in the comments.
Selma Blair wrote, “I could see that wasn’t you,” “Also, @lily_sheen seems very open-minded. Madonna is also very open-minded, I see.”
One fan was impressed by Lily’s effort to be kind to her mother, writing: “But it’s also quite arty’ oh blessing her she was trying so very hard to be nice.”
However, another fan wasn’t happy with the hatred Madonna was getting. She wrote, “Everyone hates Madonna, but that type of provocation is always been her brand.” Other famous people (and not so famous) are doing the same thing on ig and getting a pass. I honestly don’t mind if it makes her happy.
Beckinsale agreed with the commenter and replied back, “totally disagree no hate.” Madonna must be Madonna forever.
Beckinsale’s photo of Madonna was posted to Instagram. However, it was later removed along with many other photos by the social media platform. The 63 year-old singer responded by clapping in a second post, where she reshared the photos and criticized Instagram for removing the image and denouncing censorship.
The star of pop shared ten photos on a carousel, post Thanksgiving. He was seen provocatively posing in different positions in bed, with a few shots emerging from under the frame.
She wrote that “they gave my management that doesn’t handle my account because a small part of my nipple were exposed.” It is still amazing to me that every inch of a woman’s body can be seen, except the nipple. As if this is all that can be sexualized from a woman’s anatomy. The baby’s nipple!
Madonna criticized the double standard in censorship between men and women, saying, “Can’t a man’s nipple experience as erotic ??!!?” What about the a–which is never censored anywhere?
“Giving thanks for my ability to keep my sanity through forty decades of censorship …… sexualism ageism and misogyny,” she said. Perfectly timed with all the lies we’ve been taught about the Pilgrims breaking bread with Native American Indians upon landing on Plymouth Rock. God bless America #artistsareheretodisturbthepeace.”
However, Madonna’s picture of her bum sticking out under the bed inspired Beckinsale to create a prank and countless other memes.
Many social media users enjoyed visualizing what she was looking under her mattress, . Others compared her post to images from the iconic moment in “The Wizard of Oz.”
