According to a poll, Vice President Kamala Harris is the top choice of Democrats if Mr. Biden decides to not run in 2024.
The Hill/HarrisX poll showed that 13% of respondents supported the vice president despite her historically low approval scores.
With backing of 10%, former first lady Michelle Obama finished second.
A handful of former 2020 hopefuls received support below 10%, including Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Cory Booker; billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg; Andrew Yang; and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Although she is still a popular figure within the party, the former first lady has repeatedly stated that she does not intend to run for office. Obama co-chairs the get-out the vote initiative When We All Vote.
She stated that she would not ask her children to repeat the same mistake in 2017. The Independent says it’s “your whole family.”
According to The Hill, another 13% of respondents indicated that they would choose someone other than the one listed in the poll.
Biden is rumored to be planning to run for reelection 2024. Biden would have been 81 years old on Election Day in that year. He will turn 82 shortly after. (Biden was born Nov. 20.)
Jen Psaki, White House press secretary, reiterated last week that Biden had “intention” of running as the president boarded Air Force One to make an early Thanksgiving visit with North Carolina troops.
