Made from 100% of the excellent Catalan xarel-lo grape variety, the cuvée Essential, from Juvé y Camps, is a classic cava that also offers excellent value for money.
Its aging of more than two years on the lees gives it a well-nourished substance as well as aromas of brioche and toast. Everything is based on very ripe fruit, with notes of yellow apple, pear and candied fruit. The mouth is ample and caressing, with a present dosage but very well balanced by a fresh acidity, very fine bubbles and citrus notes.
Its richness will allow it to go to the table with fish or poultry in cream, or creamy cheeses. The half-full bottle, topped with a good sparkling wine cork, kept very well for a week in the fridge.
