Antonio Ruediger leaves Chelsea for Real Madrid. According to his own statements, this crowns his career so far.
Rüdiger’s biggest step in his career: Antonio Rüdiger is moving from Chelsea to Real Madrid on a free transfer for the new season. In an interview with “Marca”, the central defender states that he had already been contacted by the Spaniards in autumn 2021. He remembers: “It was like … wow!” Along with this, Rüdiger describes the transfer as “probably the biggest step of his career”.
Short, compact, clear
Only Chelsea and Real as options: Ruediger is open to saying that he “only considered Madrid or Chelsea” when it came to choosing a new club. Ultimately, the “victory mentality” of the Madrilenians fits well with his character. The 29-year-old apparently never considered a move to the alleged co-interested FC Bayern.
Rüdiger will start soon: Rüdiger will already be introduced on June 20th in Madrid. The German international meets former Bayern stars Toni Kroos and David Alaba there.
