Protection of Ivan Safronov decided to make the lawyer Ivan Pavlov’s “talking head”. This means that the defender will not participate in investigative actions and court hearings that will allow him to communicate with the media and to comment on the case.
this was told by the lawyer in the corridor of the Moscow city court during the examination of the appeal for the arrest of Ivan Safronov.
Pavlov also explained that after the presentation Safronov charges the investigator for some reason did not question him. Moreover, Ivan had about 10 questions that he has prepared for the investigator – he refused to answer them.
in addition, in the case of a message of a certain General, who informed the investigation that the journalist was recruited by the Czech intelligence services and received their assignment.

According to Pavlov, the matter is now led by a group of investigators from 10 people. And excessive precaution – men in camouflage uniforms, handcuffs (with Ivan removed the bracelets only after the judges comments) – business card of the investigator Alexander Shepherd.
According to Pavlov, he specifically eschews the investigators, for as long as possible to inform the public about the progress of the case. If it take a subscription about nondisclosure (he is the only defender who while not bound by subscription), the protection Safronova will find another way:
