At a shooting festival in Wesel on the Lower Rhine there was a major fight involving several dozen people early on Saturday morning. Five criminal charges were filed and 100 expulsions were issued.
According to “radiokw.de”, the confrontation was still in full swing when the emergency services arrived and numerous supporting forces from across the district were called in. The people who were involved in the fight are said to have been mostly young and drunk people.
A total of around 100 expulsions were issued during the operation, said a police spokesman. Two people were also slightly injured. A 19-year-old man from Hünxe was taken into custody to sober up. The police initiated five criminal proceedings for bodily harm, grievous bodily harm, insults and damage to property.
