the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has banned the use of local officials in the public field of a wide range of words and expressions. Under the ban, as reports the edition “news Ukraïnski,” came such words as “default” and “recession” and “technical default”, “cancel nationalization PrivatBank” and so on.
the Newspaper, citing officials sent the document of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, reports that the Agency is not recommending to speak on the topic of predictions, estimations and calculations about the national debt as well as sovereign Eurobonds. All comments on Eurobonds are allowed only after agreement with the Ministry of Finance.
the paper also reported that “failure to comply with the recommendations and the disclosure of information can have serious consequences, including the sale to investors of debt securities, increase in borrowing costs and the deterioration of the sovereign rating of the country.” In addition, officials advised not to comment and not to make predictions on economic and financial state of Ukraine.
