Uefa prohibits Eintracht Frankfurt from showing the European Cup they have won – and that at an event in their own stadium. This causes great outrage, especially for Eintracht President Peter Fischer.

No pot in the stadium: The newly crowned Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt wanted to present his trophy at a music festival in his own stadium – but Uefa had something against it. The reason: The music festival is “not a football-affine environment”. But of course it’s also about the money. Among other things, the event has a different beer sponsor than the Europa League.

Short, compact, clear

Eintracht President angry: “Incredible!” SBU President Peter Fischer raged in the “Bild” newspaper. “These are our spectators here in Frankfurt, and then we are not allowed to present the trophy in our own stadium.” Eintracht had Won a European Cup for the first time in 42 years in mid-May.

No trophy for the fans: Uefa did not want to comment on the “Bild” newspaper. The ban remained in place, so the almost 200,000 visitors to the “World Club Dome” (three-day music party for fans of techno, EDM and rap) didn’t see the pot.
