A surfer died in a shark attack off the coast of Northern California, said on Sunday the Fox News channel.
According to him, the shark of unknown species attacked a 26-year-old young man 90 metres from the shore in the afternoon, the victim died on the spot.
In connection with the incident, the coastal strip of one mile in both directions from the scene of the attack closed for five days. In connection with the coronavirus beach had previously been closed to the public, but to engage in water sports were allowed.
