“I would say that this kind of form another interference in our Affairs, especially in the course of the beginning already of voting on amendments of the Basic law,” said Leonid Slutsky.
“We have consistently explained and continue to explain to European partners: amendments to article 79 in no way do not supersede the international obligations of the Russian Federation, Russia has fulfilled them and will fulfill. We are talking about the establishment of the priority of the Constitution that is in full compliance with foreign experience. Much more hard the primacy of national law over international, for example, exist in such European countries as Britain and Germany, not to mention the United States,” he said.
The MP called on all Russian citizens to come to polling stations or remotely by electronic means to participate in a nationwide voting on amendments to the Constitution.
