In the state Duma called the provisional date for the opening of beaches in Russia in the conditions of a pandemic coronavirus. According to the head of Committee on physical culture, sport, tourism and youth Affairs Mikhail Degtyarev, it can happen on 1 July, reports the “parliamentary newspaper”.
As noted by Degtyarev in an interview, the tourist season in the country begins, in spite of everything, albeit with restrictions and a significant time shift. In the regions the decision to open the resort facilities will be made, “based on the epidemiological situation”.
the MP added that the flights of Russians abroad during a pandemic, unsafe and, if citizens prefer foreign to domestic tourism, the tourism industry of the country “healthier”.
Earlier in may, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin asked the Russians to temporarily refrain from trips abroad. The head of government urged citizens to spend vacations in the country to avoid the risk of the importation of coronavirus infection.
