the Current season in the Russian Premier League (RPL) will be completed ahead of schedule, if the clubs in droves begin to abandon the participation in the tournament. This was stated during the teleconference, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Russian football Union (RFU) Maxim Mitrofanov.
“Consider a variant in which clubs will be able to allow players to replace the diseased players. But if clubs will start to massively refuse to participate for objective reasons, the Executive Committee will take a decision”, – said Mitrofanov.
According to him, the option in which clubs will finish the season playing youth structures, are excluded.
the Executive Committee of the RFU on 15 may decided that the current season will be resumed in the second half of June.
