MOSCOW, 29 Sep – RIA Novosti. Allegations that the regime of isolation violates human freedom, is absurd and irresponsible, told RIA Novosti President of the Federation of Jewish communities of Russia (FJC) Rabbi Alexander Boroda.
on Tuesday the President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a meeting on combating the spread of coronavirus in the regions of the Russian Federation said that human life was given over and is an absolute value. Speaking about the fight against coronavirus and mode of self-isolation, he stressed that personal freedom cannot be above the interests and freedoms of others. The President also noted that the philosophy of love for man “helped us to survive for centuries”, and the values of mutual reciprocity and solidarity are the main pillar of Russian statehood. These values, according to the President, received “together with the Orthodox Church” and are the basis of other religions of the peoples of Russia – Islam, Buddhism, Judaism.
“President Vladimir Putin is exactly pointed to the ethical foundations of all main religions of Russia: the love of neighbor, mutual support and help the weak and vulnerable. Those principles, by which mankind survived, survived, retained the human shape and facing more severe than the pandemic coronavirus,” said Beard.
According to him, “most decent people” are making every effort to minimize the consequences, to alleviate the situation. He drew attention to the charitable programs for families with children, unemployed and elderly.
“the allegation that the regime of isolation violates human freedom, seem to me absurd and, just as he said, selfish, irresponsible. A society in which everyone is responsible for themselves, can exist and even be called a society”, – said the Rabbi.
He recalled that recently, the Jews celebrated the Passover – “the feast of freedom,” however, this year Jews were limited: “not that I didn’t go to the synagogue, even to each other visit.”
“there Were a lot of questions: how to celebrate our freedom, if we sit here? The answer is simple: the fact that we remain home is a manifestation of our freedom of choice, granted to man by God. Thus we choose not to expose their families and surrounding people in danger, choose to save the lives and health of thousands of people, choose a responsibility and common sense. I want the world to understand and obey the instructions of the authorities and health services. The stricter we are now, the easier it will be tomorrow”, – summed up the head of the FJC.
Passover (“transition”) – the main Jewish holiday dedicated to the event, which is considered the beginning of the history of the Jewish people – the Exodus from Egypt and the liberation of people from 400 years of slavery. According to the Jewish calendar Passover starts on the 14th day of the month of Nisan. It is celebrated for seven days in Israel and eight outside of it. This year Pesach fell on the period from 8 to 16 April.
