The Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Bondarev told about the concept of integration of UAVs in a common airspace of Russia.
“the Unregulated use of UAVs poses a threat to protected objects, public safety, and may also violate the privacy of citizens,” he said in an interview with parliamentary newspaper.
According to him, the legal regulations require such issues as security of unmanned aircraft, the creation of conditions for development of the market unmanned aerial vehicle services, the use of the spaces for joint flights of manned and unmanned aircraft.
As the Senator noted, the Ministry of transport of Russia together with stakeholders has developed a draft concept, the publication of which is expected before the end of 2020.
“the Practical implementation of the concept in the period from 2020 to 2026 will include a series of research and development work, testing new technologies in the areas of integration testing, the design and development of integration scenarios on the modeling systems,” he said.
Earlier military commentator Ilya Kramnik commented on the possibility of Russia to carry out military operations involving drones.
