The head of the Federation Council Commission on information policy and interaction with mass media of Russia Alexei Pushkov commented on the answer of Vladimir Zelensky on the question of readiness to go to the Victory parade in Moscow.
“Zelensky confirmed my assessment: even if he was invited to the Victory parade, he would not go to Moscow. Which once again proves the correctness of decision not to send him an invitation,” – wrote Pushkov in his Twitter.
According to the parliamentarian, this step of the Russian authorities in Ukraine would use for propaganda purposes.
On the eve of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Russian side was not invited to Moscow for the parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, said that it would not participate in this event, even if I called him.
The Kremlin earlier reported that Zelensky has not received an invitation to the Victory day parade as Ukraine de facto is not a CIS member and has never demonstrated a desire to share the joy of the holiday. It was noted that Ukrainian politicians will be able to attend the Victory parade in Moscow June 24.
Recall, Russian President Vladimir Putin previously announced that the Victory parade in Moscow will be held June 24 – the day of the historic parade of the winners in 1945.
