Presidential elections started at 07:00 local time (08:00 GMT) on Sunday in the entire territory of Poland. Voting is conducted at 27 stations 230, which will run until 21:00 (22:00 GMT).
In the next presidential elections this year involved 11 candidates, including the incumbent Polish leader Andrzej Duda, who is running for a second term. The right to vote have more than 30 million poles, of which 387 thousand are abroad.
Because of the pandemic of the novel coronavirus voting is carried out on the mixed principle – the classical way with the organization of polling stations and by mail to persons in quarantine and everyone after the filing of the application. Across the country to take advantage of the remote will decided 190 thousand, received in advance special packages for voting. The postal services have used and most abroad. All were sent to 528 thousand of these packages.
The sections are reinforced sanitary measures. Among the members of the election commissions, registered citizens must be respected the minimum distance of 1.5 m. More than 207 thousand of their employees are provided with protective masks and gloves. Inputs tools installed for disinfection of hands.
All citizens in the polling station, should cover mouth and nose with a mask or handkerchief. At the time of verification of documents of the mask can be literally a second to remove. The electoral Commission asks people to bring their own pens. One person must be at least 4 sq m of free space.
The state election Commission is planning to publish the final official results of the voting no later than 1 July. However, immediately after the close of polling will be known the results of exit polls – surveys of voters centers of public opinion research.
