The Moscow metro daily disinfects more than 800 thousand square meters of surfaces of cars, all infrastructure elements which touch the passengers during the trip, disinfected not less than once in 1.5-2 hours, told RIA Novosti Deputy mayor of Moscow for transport issues Maxim Liksutov.
According to him, for the processing of trains and passenger areas of stations use the media with antimicrobial and antiviral effects, which are recommended by the CPS.
“They destroy viruses and bacteria less efficiently than UV radiation. Such tools are used in hospitals to disinfect surgical and dental instruments. All infrastructure elements which touch the passengers during the trip, disinfected not less than once in 1.5-2 hours,” – said Liksutov.
He explained that these items include handles entrance doors, terminals for payment by Bank cards, turnstiles, handrails of escalators. Vending machines of tickets are disinfected every hour.
“We do our best to transport remained highly protected, while at the same time asking citizens to continue to follow a policy of isolation and to stay home,” he added.
