Sociologists of the center for regional and urban studies IPEA Ranhigs headed by Evgeniy Varshaver conducted a study on the situation of migrants in Moscow during the epidemic. According to published reports, in the capital, 54% of people who came from other countries, lost his job, a third (32%) completely lost their income. Only a tenth of the migrants are not informed about the change in financial position.
Writes News.ru in Moscow, according to expert estimates there are approximately 1.5 million migrants, so 500 thousand of them were left without money and as a consequence, no medical care and ability to pay for housing.
According to scientists, the current position may affect the growth of crime, but the sharp jump is not expected.
“….will the migrants commit more crimes. I think that will be along, however, with other deprovisosine groups,” expressed Varshaver, noting that “the surge will not be as powerful as some predict publication.”
To assume, as the end of working days from 12 may affect the income and the situation of migrants, the researcher is not taken: on the one hand, will soon begin the season of summer cottages and revive construction, with another — the food is still frozen. Until people can get back to work, sociologists believe that they need government support.
