Moscow authorities have suspended the implementation of municipal projects worth 350 billion rubles in connection with the epidemic of the coronavirus. This is reported by “Vedomosti” with reference to the Deputy mayor for economy Vladimir Yefimov.
Efimov said that the Moscow government “cannot react to the situation”, therefore, the cost of the improvement, the development activities and not the priority investment projects have been suspended.
The total cost put the city on pause project is 350 billion dollars. This amount includes the cost of miscellaneous services, maintenance of city facilities and roads, etc.
According to him, some of the money from the budget will be redirected to the event with a paramount importance, such as the repurposing of health facilities and procurement of disinfectants.
The amount of additional funding will exceed 26 billion rubles.
According to the latest data, in Moscow there were more than 142 thousand cases of infection with coronavirus. Only in the region of more than 1.5 thousand people died in the pandemic.
