On the border of Moscow and Kaluga region found the mounds of the ancient Slavs, according to the portal of the Moscow mayor. The burial mounds belong to the middle of the XII – beginning of XIII century.
Most likely, they belonged to one of the tribes of the Eastern Slavs – Vyatichi. Discovered four mound with a height of 1.5 and with diameter up to 15 meters. The construction of the burial mounds were part of the funeral rites in ancient times. The mounds could be single, and ancestral graves.
The objects are carefully examined, but without excavation. Then will be solved the question of their conservation status. Prior to that, the exact location of the embankments will be classified to avoid being looted.
