BERLIN, 27 Jun – RIA Novosti. The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Germany urged not to expect a quick lifting of warnings about the dangers of traveling abroad.
“Warning of the dangers of travel valid now until may 3, about their extension will be decided before that date. Obviously that will not be a surprise as to what decision will be taken”, – said the representative of the German foreign Ministry Christopher Burger at a briefing on Monday.
He recalled the statements of foreign Minister Heiko Maas in the last days, called “managing expectations”. Maas said in particular that there is no reason to believe that the Germans will be able to go in the summer abroad.
“There are rules adopted in the EU concerning the entry of third countries (banned with a few exceptions, EDS.), travel between EU countries (they are limited – edition). We strive within the EU to ensure that we could as quickly as possible to open the borders to define common criteria… but not yet a formal decision. But you understand from my words that you should not count on the immediate lifting of the warning of the dangers of travel”, he added.
