Tragic accident at work in Brandenburg: Two men suffocated while working in a well about 20 meters deep. Rescue workers rescued the two from the shaft, but could not resuscitate them.
Two men suffocated in a work accident in a well shaft in Fichtenhöhe, Brandenburg. A police spokesman said on Saturday that one of the men, aged 36, had been working in the shaft more than 20 meters deep on Friday afternoon.
Due to the lack of oxygen at depth, he apparently passed out at first. The other man, aged 47, climbed in to help, according to police. Rescue workers rescued the men from the shaft, but were unable to resuscitate them.
