The Rock im Park festival attracted around 75,000 visitors this year. The date for the new year has already been set: from June 2nd to 4th, 2023, the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg will become a stage for a number of artists. The first early bird tickets will be available from Wednesday (August 24, 2022). However, the prices are causing resentment among potential visitors.

The festival ticket for Rock im Park 2023 costs 268 euros – 69 euros more than the tickets in the first price level from 2020. This is too expensive for many potential visitors: “I want to camp there, not build,” complains a Facebook -Users. “I was at least expecting the first band announcements,” criticizes another, because the line-up of the festival siblings is still empty. While tickets without a camping pass are regularly offered for the Rock am Ring twin festival at the Nürburgring, this is not the case at Rock im Park.

The organizer, Argo Konzerte GmbH, is also receiving criticism for this: “Nuremberg is a big city, there are definitely thousands of visitors who commute,” argues a Facebook user. The reason for this is suspected by the community: “A lot of money would slip through the fingers of the organizer”. The tickets have been available in the online shop since Wednesday morning (24 August 2022) at 10 a.m.

Due to the price, however, some fans already know that they want to do without the 2023 festival: “And that’s the first time I’ve been out in many years and I’d rather go to two other open air venues for the same price,” comments one user grumpily. The fact that access to shower camps is now included with all tickets doesn’t help.

Despite this, Rock im Park is and will remain a generally extremely popular festival: “Everyone’s complaining and next year will be full again,” another commentator sums up.
