New SFTS virus, which claimed the first life in China, carries great danger for people outside of China. This opinion was expressed by member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the former chief sanitary doctor of Russia doctor Gennady Onishchenko.

The specialist indicated that the thrombocytopenia, that is, the reduction in the number of platelets in the blood below a certain level, may occur as a result of coronavirus infection.
The physician also noted that recorded outbreak of the disease not seen anything “beyond China”, noting that today, Eastern state is closed to the public.
Onishchenko has noticed that the information is quite new, and expressed hope for a speedy clarification of what is happening.
Informed expert Anatoly Altstein told “Star” that SFTS is transmitted to humans by rather complicated and not a great danger as the “epidemiological agent”.
