In the east of Hamburg, tragic scenes took place around 4:30 a.m. in a horse stable. A fire broke out there. Nine animals burned horses, one had to be shot.
Nine of the ten horses housed died in the flames, as a spokesman for the MOPO fire department said. According to a local reporter, one animal was able to free itself from the stall on fire. However, it was so badly injured that the police had to put it out of its misery with a gun, as a spokesman for the MOPO police confirmed.

There is no information yet on the cause of the fire. The extent of the damage cannot yet be estimated either.
